Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Virginia Tech
Dr. Raghavendra’s research interests focus on designing provable algorithms for optimization including problems related to matching and optimal transport amongst other areas.
His work has been published in top tier conferences in theoretical computer science, such as ACM SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA), International Symposium on Computational Geometry (SoCG), ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing (STOC) and IEEE Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science (FOCS).
He is the co-founder of Decaltra LLC., a start-up focused on decision algorithms for transportation and has a strong interest in applying my work to real-world situations. This interest has led to ongoing and past collaborations with groups like Walmart Labs and Intel.
Before joining Virginia Tech, he spent two years as a postdoc in the Computer Science and Management Science and Engineering departments at Stanford working with Prof. Leo Guibas and Prof. Ashish Goel.
Dr. Raghavenda completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Duke University where he worked with Prof. Pankaj Agarwal. He received his B. Tech (Hons) (Computer Science) from IIIT, Hyderabad.
